The function 'Object Release' serves the release of objects. In this context, the term "release" is understood to be the action of hiding all drawing elements crossing an object; for example, the action of hiding a track axis positioned below a track identifier in the identifier text field.
In principle, the release of objects is also possible by breaking up any elements that cross them. However, the problem with that approach is that, first of all, it would result in the loss of the logical structure of a drawing (for example, failure of contour tracking across the track identifier field) and, secondly, the gap remaining once a released object has been moved would subsequently have to be refilled.
