ProSig Planning System

Product Overview:

ProSig® is a Signaling & Control Systems (SCT) planning software for railway installations in the context of Computer based Interlocking (CBI), which reduces the planning effort and improves the planning quality.

The functional scope of ProSig® is oriented to the planning and drawing requirements and supports the creation of the following planning results:

ProSig® 6 Classic

•Signalling layout plans

•Signalling overview plans

•Cable route plans/ Cable layout plans

•Cable overview plans

•Track circuit wiring plans

•Technical safety tables (mostly manual filling)

ProSig® 7 EPU

•Signalling layout plan

•Signalling overview plans

•ETCS L2 overview plan with gradient and speed ranges

•Cable route plans/ Cable layout plans

•Cable Overview Plans

•Track circuit wiring plans (for existing track circuits)

•Technical safety tables (automatic filling and Excel export)

•XML export file of all relevant technical data according to PlanPro schema (DB Netz)

A database-driven system approach ensures the consistency of complex planning projects.

The main functional areas of ProSig 7 EPU are as follows:

•ProTop for creating the project-specific track set

•ProSig® CAD for the preparation of the layout and overview plans for the Signalling system

•ProSig® Engineer for processing business data and creating backup tables and XML exports

General Important Note

In recent years, ProSig has developed from a CAD drawing tool to a planning tool in the field of Signaling & control systems (SCT). In particular, the new product line ProSig 7 EPU has added many 'intelligent' functions that make ProSig an SCT expert system.

Nevertheless (or precisely because of this) we would like to point out at this point that the ProSig functions basically only make suggestions!

Even if these suggestions are as accurate and meaningful as possible according to technical and situational discretion, their results must always be assessed and, if necessary, adapted by users (or plan reviewers) with drawing and/or planning expertise. Thus the responsibility and thus also the sovereignty over the results remains in the hands of the user. In particular, this makes it possible in ProSig to react to project-specific features and (rare) exceptions.
