Process:

Measurement of all possible distances between a start and destination point on the topology.

Requirements:

Import the PlanPro XML and if necessary, inserted dot-like PSOs.

Description:

With the function 'Measure Distance Automatically' distances along the topology can be measured (contour tracking). All measured distances between a selected start and destination point are displayed via the command line.

Procedure:

1.Start the function 'Measure Distance Automatically'.

Command Line: PRS_DIST_M_AUTO

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> Tools -> Services -> Measure Distance Automatically

oAfter calling the function, the prompt 'Select start point or dot-like object:' is issued via the command line.

2.Select a starting point on a topological edge or a dot-like object located on a topological edge.

oThe starting point is marked on the topology. When selecting a dot-like object, the location point is marked as the starting point.

oThe prompt 'Select destination point or dot-like object:' appears.

3.Select a destination point on a topological edge or a dot-like object located on a topological edge.

oThe destination is marked on the topology. When selecting a dot-like object, the location point is marked as the target point.

oThe measured length between start and destination point is displayed via the command line. If the function finds several possible routes to the destination, all measured lengths are output via the command line.

4.Then the prompt 'Vom letzten Punkt aus weitermessen? (Yes/No) <N> :' appears.

oIf the prompt is confirmed with 'No', the function is terminated.

oIf the prompt is confirmed with 'Yes', measurement can be continued from the marked destination point. To do this, repeat step 3.

Then the command line displays both the measured length, starting from the last point, and the total measured length, starting from the starting point of step 2. If several lengths were measured in step 3 (due to several drivable paths), the largest value is used here for the calculation of the total length.
