The upper part of this dialog window is for attribute data input on the current object, some of which may be inactivated under certain circumstances (e. g., attribute mode changes in case of multiple texts). A current object is either a (newly) picked object or the one most recently edited.
The lower part of this dialog window includes the arrangement of DDATTEDK functions.
attributes included in the dialog window " attributes of Texts, Attributes and Attribute Definitions":
•LAYER
oThis is a list of existing layers in a drawing from which one layer can be selected.
•TEXT STYLE
oThis is a list of defined text styles in a drawing from which one text style can be selected.
•CONTENT
oHere the content involves the choice of any character string.
•TEXT HEIGHT
oThe text height requires numerical input.
•WIDTH FACTOR
oThe width factor requires numerical input.
•OBJECT HEIGHT
oThe object height requires numerical input.
•INCLINATION ANGLE
oThe inclination angle requires numerical input in degrees.
•ATTRIBUTE NAME
oThe attribute name of a block should only be changed if the block itself is to be redefined.
•ATTRIBUTE MODES
oAttribute mode changes are inactivated if attribute data input includes texts of any kind. Attributes are limited to change of visibility mode. Only attribute definitions allow change of all attribute modes.
•COLOR
oColors can be changed using the CHANGE button.
•VERTICAL INCLINE
oVertical incline refers to the unit vector pointing vertically from the construction plane of an element. The default value is 0,0,1. Value input is unlimited. The formula subsequently applicable in the AutoCAD database is x2+y2+z2=1 (see also TRANSFORMATION).
•TRANSFORMATION
oAll values in the x, y, z vertical incline input fields are converted using the formula x2+y2+z2=1 in order to subsequently correspond to those in the AutoCAD database. Note: many ProSig functions are based on a vertical incline vector parallel to the Z-axis (X=0, Y=0, Z=1).
•POSITION
oThis attribute is used to determine the position of the object.
oWKS
▪Select WKS if you want to save your coordinate point input in the form of world coordinates.
oBKS
▪Select BKS if you want to save your coordinate point input based on current coordinate system settings.
oMKS
▪Select MKS if you want to save your coordinate point input based on the model coordinate system of the block associated with an attribute. MKS is only offered for attributes.
oHELP
▪Select HELP if you want to display the Help text for determining object positions.
oPICK
▪Using PICK allows you to pick an object position. The relevant coordinates are then applied in the x, y, z position input fields of the chosen coordinate system.
oABSOLUTE
▪Select ABSOLUTE if you want an object to be repositioned in the absolute position shown in the x, y, z position input fields.
oRELATIVE
▪Select RELATIVE if you want an object to be repositioned relative to the basic point of the block with the specified vector (x, y, z).
oRELATIV Z. BLOCKB.PKT / RELATIVE TO BASIC POINT OF BLOCK (Attributes only)
▪Select RELATIVE TO BASIC POINT OF BLOCK if you want an object to be repositioned relative to the basic point of the block with the specified vector (x, y, z) associated with an attribute. This function is only offered for attributes.
oSLIDE HELP
▪Using SLIDE HELP, you will see a SAMPLE REPOSITIONING image with your current settings (WKS, BKS, MKS, ABSOLUTE, RELATIVE, RELATIVE TO BASIC POINT OF BLOCK) on the graphics screen.
•ROTATION ANGLE
oThe rotation angle requires numerical input. The new angle is derived from the coordinate system (WKS, BKS, MKS) and ABSOLUTE/RELATIVE.
oWKS
▪If you selected WKS, then the angle will be based on the world coordinate system.
oBKS
▪If you selected BKS, then the angle will be based on current coordinate system settings.
oMKS
▪If you selected MKS, then the angle will be based on the model coordinate system of the block associated with an attribute. MKS is only offered for attributes.
oABSOLUTE
▪If you selected ABSOLUTE, then the object will be rotated based on the rotation angle you entered.
oRELATIVE
▪If you selected RELATIVE, then the object will be rotated based on the rotation angle you entered.
oSLIDE HELP
▪Here, the program displays a sample rotation image with your current settings (WKS, BKS, MKS, ABSOLUTE, RELATIVE).
•TEXT DISPLAY
oYou can change the text display using the CHANGE button. A sample image shows your current text display (e.g., mirrored, upside down, etc.) The attribute position does not change when changing the text display.
•TEXT ALIGNMENT
oYou can change the text alignment using the slider next to the sample image. The text alignment point will be positioned accordingly in the sample image. The attribute position does not change when changing the text alignment.
•FREE-FORM INPUT
oWith FREE-FORM INPUT, you can enter attribute attributes directly via the DXF key of the AutoCAD database. However, be aware that none of your input is verified in the process. That includes, for example, whichever data type you enter for the specified DXF key.
oIn the CODE input field, you must enter a valid DXF key.
oIn the Content input field, you must enter the respective value.
oRELATIVE
▪If you activated the RELATIVE button, then the value for the specified DXF key is saved relative to any existing previous value. If it involves numbers, then the new value is added. If you are using character strings, your input is attached to the previous character string. In the case of lists (or points), the values of the individual list elements are added.
oABSOLUTE
▪If you activated the ABSOLUTE button, then the value for the specified DXF key is saved and any existing previous values are overwritten.
Functions included in the dialog window " attributes of Texts, Attributes and Attribute Definitions":
•CHANGE attributes
oHere you can enter attributes from the dialog window under your current object; i.e., change the object.
•DELETE
oHere you can delete attributes in the dialog window (set default).
•< EIGENSCH. (AKT.OBJ.) / < attributes (CURRENT OBJECT)

•< EIGENSCH. (PICKEN) / < attributes (PICK)
oWith this function, you can accept attributes of an object being picked in the dialog window. Attention: In the process, coordinates and rotation angles are accepted as WKS data without being converted to any other coordinate system and repositioning vector (BKS, MKS, RELATIVE, etc.) currently in use.
