•The real plot frames and description labels are inserted in the layout field. The plot sections of the model area, once their respective display windows have been inserted and successfully crosschecked, should all correspond to the display windows in the layout field. Any changes in the original drawing are automatically updated in the plot templates.
•Any manipulation, such as moving the plot templates, requires activation of all relevant layers.
Here, it is important for all plot template components (real plot frame, description label, layout field display window) to be moved simultaneously.
•Subsequent movement of plot templates in the layout field is possible using the ProSig command SERVICE FUNCTIONS / MOVE OBJECTS (GG) or GGSCHIEB. Together, the virtual plot frame and its descriptive text form a Graphic Group. Likewise, it is possible to turn plot templates in the layout field. However, the latter further requires crosschecking.
•The AutoCAD system variable "MAXACTVP" serves the purpose of setting the maximum number of display windows that can be shown simultaneously. The maximum set value of "MAXACTVP" is 64. Since every plot template generates its own display window, the act of creating multiple plot templates may result in individual plot sections no longer being visible. This, however, is merely a matter of screen display size, as the individual sections can always be plotted independently of screen display size (they will also be shown in the plot preview as usual.)
•To reduce regeneration time in the presence of multiple plot templates, you can use the standard AutoCAD command "MANSFEN" to deactivate selected display windows in the layout field via the "OFF" parameter.
