Creating Plot Frames, Term Definitions

The following terms are essential in the process of creating plot frames:

Paper Area

Different term for paper space.

Plot Section (Model Area)

Section of the model area in a drawing file to be plotted.

Virtual Plot Frame (Model Area)

Simplified display of a plot frame highlighting a plot section in the model area.

Real Plot Frame (Layout Area)

Exact plot frame with label field (if selected) highlighting a plot section in the layout area. The real plot frame with its label field surrounds the layout area display window, which shows the plot section, without actually forming a part of it. It is intended as a frame for the subsequent plot.

Plot Template (Layout Area)

Overall setting comprising layout area display window, real plot frame and label field.
