Straight Line Tangent

You can use the function 'Straight Line Tangent' to construct tangents.

 
Process

The first step is to determine a tangent starting point. It must be located either on a line, an arc or a circle (including sub-elements of blocks or polylines.) In case of the latter, a user coordinate system is set based on the relevant element, followed by the activation of Ortho mode in order to enable input of the following data. The next step is to choose the tangent length either directly or by using your keyboard to enter it.  As a rule, the chosen point is projected onto the X-axis of the set coordinate system. In the process, any input that would lead to construction of a tangent whose length equals zero is rejected. Once complete, the tangent is saved on the most recent layer.
