Dot-like objects and Area objects are located at the topology. They are assigned to one or more edges and obtain the following attributes: the distance from the start node of the topological edge, a working direction (Attribute 'Orientation by edge') and if applicable, a lateral distance.

If new objects are inserted after Assigning the Route Data, the above information is entered correctly and a new location is not required.

To check whether the objects are correctly located at the track topology, the function Location Report is used.

If Dot-like PSO, intended to have a station at a topological edge, which are not located, then they are displayed together with a corresponding symbol (locator, layer PRS-NICHT-VERORTET) in the drawing. Objects that are not located will not have a working direction (attribute 'Orientation by edge') and after being located the objects will be displayed according to their working direction.

The function Locate Object(s) is used to locate the objects.
