Creating an Operating Station with the EPU Object Inserter

Description:

In ProSig, the operating station is a dot-like object and is displayed in the project drawing after being assigned to an accommodation within this object. The display depends on the assignment of the attribute 'Type'.
 
There are currently two different ways to insert this object into the drawing. If an operator station is inserted, as described on the page Creating an Operating Station, an accommodation and the associated CBI Central unit for the object can be selected during the insertion process. In addition, the following Type 'Not-BPS' is preset. The Operating station in the Accommodation of the CBI Central unit is then displayed as a empty point with a cover surface.
 
If the operating station is inserted, as described on the current page, the accommodation, the CBI Central unit and the type must be specified subsequently using the object attributes.

Procedure:
 

1.The Insertion of an Operating Station can be performed with the function EPU-Object Inserter. Select the Object type 'Operating Station'.

Command Line: PRS_EPU_EINF

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> Equipment SCT -> EPU-Object Inserter

2.With the button 'Paste' a new object 'Operating station' can be inserted into the drawing.
 

oThe operating station is a Dot-like PSO and receives a graphical representative (circle) in the project drawing. The object is stored on the PRS-OPERATING STATION layer.

3.After insertion, all relevant data must be entered using the Edit Object(s) function.

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> Tools -> Edit Object(s)

oFor the 'Type' attribute (A), select the variant of the operating station.
 

oFor the 'Accommodation' attribute (B), select the corresponding object of the physical location of the operating station.
 

▪The representation of the Operating Station in the accommodation of a CBI Central unit changes in the drawing depending on the allocation of the 'Type' attribute (A).

oFor the 'Assignment' attribute (C), select an object CBI Central unit where the Operating Station is switched on. The Operating Station does not necessarily have to be installed at the point where the Operating Station is connected.
