Process:

Setting up the CBI Central Unit.

Requirements:

Creating Accommodations

Description:

In ProSig, the CBI Central Unit is a logical object which is represented in the project drawing depending on the allocation of the attribute 'Accommodation'.

In the PlanPro glossary, the object is formulated as follows:

CBI Central Unit (ESTW_Zentraleinheit)

This is the central component of a electronic interlocking (CBI).

In addition to controlling all external control architectures, the CBI Central Unit (ZE) establishes the connection to all the operating areas (emergency operating station, control centers/central control areas), other nearby CBI central units, automatic train routing and train number display system.

The Central Unit can be a CBI Central Unit (ESTW-Z) or CBI Sub-center (ESTW-UZ).

The Geographical limit of a Central Unit is always a main or shunting signal (Signal_Real_Aktiv) or an operating point (Signal_Fiktiv), in general an home signal.

The Address formulas required by a substation according to guideline 819.0705 are provided through a link to the operating area.

Procedure:

1.The Insertion of a CBI Central Unit can be performed with the function 'CBI Central Unit'.

Command Line: PRS_STW_ESTW

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> Planning Basis -> Signal Box -> CBI Central Unit

2.During the insertion, select a point close to the physical location of the CBI Central Unit.

3.After the selection of an insertion point and an insertion angle, the following prompt appears: 'Select accommodation for CBI central unit:'. Select a location in which the CBI Central Unit is physically located.

oWhen the accommodation is selected directly in the drawing, the corresponding object is automatically entered in the attribute 'Accommodation' (F).

oIf no accommodation is selected, the CBI Central Unit is created without an entry in the attribute 'Accommodation' (F). In this case, the accommodation has to be assigned afterwards. The selection of the accommodation can be performed using the dropdown list or by right-clicking in the value field of the attribute, menu item 'Assign Object(s)' and then selecting a corresponding object in the drawing, see Editing And Displaying Complex Data - Assigning Objects.

4.The CBI Central Unit is a PSO and has a graphical representation in the project drawing. The Object is stored on the Layer PRS-CBI CENTRAL UNIT.

oIf the CBI Central Unit is allocated an accommodation of the building type, the CBI Central Unit is represented as crosshatch in the accommodation.

oIf no accommodation is allocated to the CBI Central Unit, it is represented as a circle in the drawing.

5.After the insertion, all relevant data should be entered using the function Edit Object(s).

Command Line: OE

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> Tools -> Edit Object(s)

oFor the Attribute 'Name' (A) the name of the CBI Central Unit has to be entered.

oFor the Attribute 'Construction type' (B), the manufacturer-specific construction type of the controller can be specified. The attribute is a return data of AP PT2 and is used for inventory data management.

oFor the Attribute 'Manufacturer' (C) the responsible business or manufacturer can be specified. This attribute is used to enter the manufacturer in inventory when planning is completed.

oThe type of power receiving coil has to be selected in the Attribute 'Electricity supply type' (D).

oFor the Attribute 'Electricity supply type, backup' (E) the basic type of Substitute-Power receiving coil can be selected.

oFor the Attribute 'Accommodation' (F) it is necessary to select an accommodation in which the CBI Central Unit is physically located, see also Step 3.

6.When the CBI Central Unit is set up, an Operating Station i.e. the arrangement of the Operating and Signalling devices, needs to be set up for the operational use of the electronic interlocking.
