The Rules and regulations of Deutsche Bahn AG states which elements have to be represented in the Signalling layout plan. It also defines which symbols to use and describes the labelling of the symbols. ProSig offers the complete required symbol catalog in libraries that are sorted by subject. In addition, standardized insert functions simplify the plan creation.

The Interlocking elements have complex relationships to each other, which are mapped in the interlocking station logic. The interactive EPU functions enable the required links to be created between the elements, the creation of area elements (e.g. Track Path) and the creation of logical objects (e.g. Track route).

The Equipment Planning comprises of the following steps:

Defining the Interlocking Station Structure

Defining Technical Attributes of Track Infrastructure

Additional Technical Infrastructure Objects

Specifying the Track Identifiers within Train Stations

Insertion of Reference Points

Insertion of Sensors

Planning Level Crossings - Basic Data

Insertion of Platforms

Planning Signals

Specifying Track Identifiers for Section Tracks

Planning the Intermittent Train Control

Planning Track Clearance

Inserting FMA Feed-Ins and Feed-Outs

Key/Lock Dependencies

Planning the Block Systems

Defining Local Control Area

Defining Operating Units

Planning Track Paths, Overlaps, Track Routes and Flank Protection

Level Crossings - Dependencies and Activations
