Description:

The CBI Central Unit is a logical object in ProSig that is displayed in the project drawing depending on the assignment of the attribute 'Accommodation'.
 

There are currently two different ways to insert this object into the drawing. If you insert an CBI Central unit, as described on the Setting Up the CBI Central Unit page, you can choose a location for the object during the insertion process. If the selected accommodation is a Building, the CBI Central unit is then displayed with a crosshatch in the drawing.
 
If the CBI Central Unit is inserted, as described on the current page, the accommodation is to be indicated subsequently via the object attributes.

Procedure:
 

1.The Insertion of a CBI Central Unit can be performed with the function EPU-Object Inserter. Select the Object type 'CBI Central Unit'.

Command Line: PRS_EPU_EINF

Ribbon: ProSig EPU -> -> Equipment SCT -> EPU-Object Inserter

2.With the button 'Paste' a new object 'CBI Central Unit' can be inserted into the drawing. Select a point close to the physical position of the CBI Central Unit.
 

oThe CBI Central Unit is a Dot-like PSO and receives a graphical representative (circle) in the project drawing. The object is stored on the PRS-CBI CENTRAL UNIT layer.

3.After insertion, all relevant data must be entered via the Edit Object(s) function.

oIn the 'Accommodation' attribute (A), select an accommodation in which the CBI Central Unit is physically located.
 

▪The accommodation can be selected from the drop-down list or by right-clicking in the value field of the attribute, menu item 'Assign object(s)' and then selecting a corresponding object in the drawing, see Editing And Displaying Complex Data- Assigning Objects.
 

▪If the CBI Central Unit is assigned an accommodation of type building, the CBI Central Unit is displayed as crosshatch in the accommodation.

oOn the page Setting Up the CBI Central Unit, Step 5 all other attributes to be specified are described.

4.Once the CBI Central Unit has been set up, an Operating Station, i.e. the arrangement of the operating and signalling devices, shall be set up for the operational use of the electronic interlocking.
